Use the breast gel pads warm to assist with the flow of breast milk.  This practice can be beneficial for pregnant Mums expressing colostrum antenatally to encourage the flow of colostrum to travel down the milk ducts. Likewise it can assist the let down relfex for breastfeeding Mums and encourage milk flow when pumping. Use warm to soften blocked milk ducts & prevent/treat mastitis.

Cold therapy is beneficial for the relief from pain and inflammation, often associated with engorgement.

Instructions for use of your gel breast pads

Place in the freezer for approximately 2 hrs for cold therapy.

Immerse the gel pads in hot water or microwave in small increments (refer to time frames below) for heat therapy. Heat in additional 5 second increments until desired temperature is achieved. *be careful to not overheat gel beads as this may damage the product and ensure the temperature is suitable before placing against the skin.

• 700 watt microwave: 20 seconds
• 1000 watt microwave: 15 seconds
• 1200 watt microwave: 10 seconds

Reuse these gel breast pads over and over.  Simply wash with warm, soapy water and allow to air dry.
